Ruby Diamond Auditorium - August 29, 2011

Florida State University’s Ruby Diamond Auditorium reopened on October 2, 2010 with a concert by blues musician B.B. King. Construction on the 126,000 GSF, $32,000,000 Ruby Diamond project began in 2008. The project entailed a complete renovation of the auditorium with emphasis on improved acoustics and seating arrangement to raise the level of the space to a true performance hall. Sr. Project Manager, Lisa A. Durham, said of Ruby Diamond, “…it has been transformed into a magnificent performing arts venue. The architect, contractor and user group worked hand in hand to make this dream a reality. It will be remembered as one of FSU’s finest projects.” See “Portfolio” for images and more information on the Ruby Diamond Auditorium project.
