Four Oaks Church - July 21, 2009

Construction on Four Oaks Church started in March 2009. Target substantial completion date is December 2009. Four Oaks church purchased the Shannon Lakes Shopping Plaza on Kerry Forest Parkway to be the site of their new home. The center is strategically located in the middle of the Killearn Acres and Killearn Estates neighborhoods, as well as situated across the street from Community Christian School. Phase I will involve renovating 40,000 square feet of the existing 60,000 square foot facility. Here is a broad vision of what this will involve: Worship Space: The church will literally raise the roof on the current Food Lion space to accommodate the worship space, which will include a 1000 seat sanctuary with a 200 seat balcony later. Welcome Area: The church will have large indoor and outdoor gathering areas that will facilitate fellowship, conversation, and relationships. Included in this area are a kitchen, coffee bar, and a seating area. Children’s Ministries: With almost 200 children in the church family, the new facility will include over 14 children’s classrooms and a worship space, as well as an outdoor play area. Student Ministries: The church will have a brand new 268 Room, complete with breakout rooms, loft, and recreational space. There will also be an outdoor basketball court, and deck. Ministry Offices: The church will now have enough office space to house their administrative, ministry, pastoral, and facility staffs in the same location. Included will be a large conference room, waiting area, and receptionist station. For images of the Four Oaks project, see "Current Projects".
